It was the last day to use the dollars Syd's earned in the school store. She has a fever and asked Chris to buy something when he brings the baby to daycare. She apparently didn't trust that he would remember!

We got a little adventurous and decided to tag along with Chris to Vegas. Addison's first time! First stop was Prescott, where Addison and Daddy had a mini jam session.

Then it was off to Vegas!!

Syd's Last Soccer Game

I can't believe another soccer season has come to an end. Sydney learned A LOT this season. Her coaches focused a lot on technique and each of the kids made huge improvements as the season went on. Here's Coach Chris helping her throw the ball in

Nonnie & Poppy Visit

Nonny and Poppy came to visit this Spring and rented a house in town. It was a cute little town house with a small dipping pool and hot tub. The only problem was the stables of horses just over the back fence that drew in a gazillion flies. Leave the hot tub for a few minutes and it would be filled with flies. That's the problem with horses.....other than that they poop A LOT.

Sending Notes to Heaven

Sydney's heart continues to amaze me. When Gigi first passed away, she had talked about us sending messages to her up in heaven by attaching them to balloons. We hadn't had a chance until now to actually put her plan into action. She say quietly in her toy room writing a message. She told me that she wanted Gigi to know that she turned six and also asked her if she could watch her at her swim meet. I was so choked up by her act of kindness. We used one of her birthday balloons to send the message off. Only.....the balloon might've been just a tad bit deflated because as quickly as it went up, it came crashing down on the next street over. Parent fail! So we went and rescued it and the next day we attached SEVERAL balloons and off it went up to heaven! We miss you Gigi!!!

....but then went up!! Then quickly came right back down :(

It worked!!! Thank you for looking over us Gigi. Sydney talks to you every single night, saying a prayer and asking you to watch over her. She thinks you help her to no longer have bad dreams. She says that you're her personal angel. I think she's right.
