After a LONG ride up the mountain with a boat on the back....and lots of angry people passing us because we went too slow for their liking around the corners with the boat on the back, we finally made it to the marina to drop off the boat. Then it was time to check out the house! We rented a really cute little house (granted it was infested with ants, but it still was super cute). The first thing the kids did was head over to the sand to build some sand castles.
Probably one of the kiddos favorite activities was feeding all the ducks off of the pier.
The girls headed into town to check everything out.
We saw a horse and buggy, which we just HAD to go on. they just needed to warn riders of the insane smell that comes along with it.
Morning out on the pier
Time to go boating!
These three jumped in the freezing cold water!!!
The boys took Syd with them golfing. She had SOOO much fun!!
Out for some adventures and the girls wanted to look like twins with pigtails. Poor Addie got some sand in her eye and dealt with an irritated eye for most of the trip.
Who likes to look for gold? these girls do! So we went to the Gold Rush Mining Adventure.
Syd picked the bag of sand that she and her sister would share. She's a bit of a pro at this by now.
Mommy and Addie checking out the stones we found in our batch!
The girls wanted to play out front with a little frisbee and hopscotch.
Next on our list was the Big Bear Historical Museum. Addie was checking out a lot of dead stuff...
Knickerbocker's rocking chair that used to be on his porch.
How long have they kept this poor woman roped off???
School time!
Time to rope some cattle!
Chris takes roping very seriously.
Time to pan for gold again
People become so greedy once they find gold. Sydney was protecting her gold stash from her little sister......which wasn't going over so well.
Mommy took Addie over to listen to the piano player. She LOVED it!! She was dancing like crazy and wouldn't let me leave the area.
How did they not become claustrophobic in the tepees back in the day?
This little piggy built his house from sticks
Sydders needed a little bit of a break, so out into nature to read a book, she went.
Addison and I headed over to the Stanfield Marsh and Boardwalk. It's a LOT of walking on bridges...
Next we went into town to shop and get some ice cream. Turns out, she's a huge fan of bubblegum ice cream.
The Husvar's came up to Big Bear on our last day there to boat and hang out a little more.
Neil's coming around...sitting in a Chicago Bears Chair
Two brave girls jumping in the lake together
Breakfast with the Huz fam
Before it was time to head home. Syd was begging for some fishing time for her dad. Ask and ye shall receive.
