McKenna Christmas

We all gathered at Lala and Papa's in the afternoon to do our usual Christmas exchange. Was nice seeing everyone on Christmas. Addie ate Lala's super gross microwaved green beans....which shocked me. I can say that because I know she will never read this :) haha Syd loved her new Bears flip flops and I got some lovely bath gels and other goodies!

Christmas Morning

The kiddos couldn't wait for Christmas morning to come! sitting patiently while the coffee gets brewed, chocolate milk gets made and the sorting of the presents begin!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is always an action-packed day. We headed down to the neighbors to assemble all of the luminarias. We were done quickly this year and had them all set out in about an hour! Record time. Then it was back to the house to bathe the kiddos and get them ready for Christmas Eve church service.

Sydney got to play at the Christmas Eve service.....except she completely froze before it was her time to go up. She started crying and was too scared to play. Thankfully Mrs. Sonni is amazing and convinced Sydney that she would sit next to her and hide the audience from seeing her. That worked and Syd went up and knocked it out of the park! So proud of her.

After church we headed out to Chili's with Lala. Papa had to play at the later service, so he couldn't come. Addie pretty much hogged Lala the entire time anyways.

Gingerbread House

We love to do these little gingerbread houses. It's fun since Sydney became old enough to decorate on her own. The only problem is when you have a little sister who just wants to eat all the decorations rather than help decorate. Poor kiddo getting yelled at because she's licking the house. Mean mommy!

Sydney's Christmas Concert

Sydney was able to learn all of the Christmas songs in time for the concert at her new school, Leman Academy. I have to say, they were really good!! Was nice hearing all the classes together, they sounded fantastic! Super proud of our girl.

This girl FREAKKKEEED out about not having any shoes to wear for the concert. The ones I ordered online were a smidge too big. Literally the night before the concert, I made phone calls to every store in town and finally found a store with some cute black flats. We ran over to the mall at like 7 pm and got some super cute shoes!

Friends & Neighbor's Christmas Gifts

This year we went back to our usual cookies in a jar gifts for our friends and neighbors since it's something that we can all make together as a family. They turned out pretty cute this year!

Girl Scout Parade

We made it out to the parade this year. It was cold and rainy, but that didn't stop us! The girls had a ton of fun walking and waving to all the people.

After the parade, the girls had their Christmas party. They played games, did a few crafts, ate snacks and had a gift exchange

FINALLY Time to Decorate the Tree

The kids asked a gazillion times if the tree was ready to decorate. They weren't too keen on hearing "It needs to rest." The tree looked perfectly rested to them, so why can't they just decorate it. FINALLYYYY it was time. Addie had an interesting technique this year where she put about three ornaments per branch. This tree had strong branches, but not THAT strong. Christ thought he was getting out of helping this year, but little did he know, he had to help distribute all of Addie's contributions.

The girls love to put the ornaments on the tree that have their names on them.

Christmas Build-A-Bear

Lala wanted to take the kiddos to Build-A-Bear to create some reindeers. Seamus couldn't go because he was sick, so we facetime'd him to make sure that we created the perfect animal for him.
