Fourth of July in Prescott

Heading up to Prescott for the 4th of July has become a new tradition. Only stinky part was that since the 4th was on a Monday and everyone decided to do fireworks on Monday night. Since both Chris and I had to work on Tuesday, we had to head back to Tucson on Monday afternoon. As we headed back into town, we were greeted by a huge wall of dust. It was pretty impressive. Shortly thereafter we were driving through a huge downpour. We went in the house and heard some loud booms. Chris went outside and realized that we could see the town fireworks from our backyard. Shielded from the rain and comfy in our own backyard. Was the perfect firework show.

They wasted no time. We got in on Friday night and jumped right in the golf cart to hit the course. Syd was so excited to use her new clubs.

The next morning, Dad and Chris went golfing, so the girls went into town to see the Prescott Fourth of July Parade. Lala couldn't help but dance.

As usual, Syd's cheeks went bright pink, so Lala shared her hat with her.

Syd's swimming skills are unbelievable. She went from floaties to swimming by herself. Now she can jump in the pool (alone) turn around by herself in the water and swim to the edge. She can dive for rings on the bottom of the pool. Yes, DIVE! The girl impresses us every single day. Lala and Papa joined a country club up in Prescott, so we headed over there to swim.

So much fun

Big kickers. She swam by herself all over the entire pool. When needed, she just lifts her head up and gets a breath.

Lala bought these red white and blue cupcakes. Gigi decided to try and tackle a blue one. Not sure who won the fight there.

Syd is actually getting good at golf! She listens really well to Chris's instructions and hits the ball with some good power.

On the 4th, we went out to breakfast. Sydney loves playing with small cards. Cards similar to clothing tags. Colors, thicker cardstock. She thinks they're her credit cards. So at breakfast she insisted on buying breakfast for everyone. When it was time to pay, she raced Papa to the cashier to pay with her money before he could.

After breakfast, Chris, Syd and I headed over to the street fair to walk around. We came across three Great Danes. Syd was mezmerized by them. We had to go up and pet them. Three of the sweetest dogs ever.

They had a small little band playing in the gazebo. Was fun to watch them play classic tunes. Syd along with several other kids were dancing around in the grass. Super cute. We also bought some delicious moisturizing bars. It's not soap, its lotion. Check them out. Lotion in a bar
